Art Re-Public Tokyo at Shibuya

Rabu, 09 Juni 2010

Shibuya (渋谷) is a famous district in Tokyo, known as one of the fashion centers of Japan, particularly for young people, and as a major nightlife area. Along with Harajuku, Shibuya is recognized as the center of youth culture and youth fashion in Japan. Shibuya is located on the Yamanote Line between Harajuku and Ebisu in the Shibuya-ku Ward of Tokyo. Shibuya’s streets came alive with performance art, music and sculpture for “Art Re-Public Tokyo”.

Now Shibuya's streets had a different style, a more lively with performance art, music and sculpture for “Art Re-Public Tokyo”. One hot Golden Week afternoon, a 110 metre stretch of street in Shibuya was turned into a public art carnival for the “Art Re-Public Tokyo”. There was music from the likes of Soil & “Pimp” Sessions and Toast Girl, performance art, live painting, and exhibits of everything from children’s picture books to sculpture.

We can see a unique style of Japanese people to describe their art and culture, including a few photos and a video clip of performances by, among others, the baguette-handed Toast Girl.

For most of the sunny Golden Week afternoon there was live music from the likes of Soil & “Pimp” Sessions, artists displaying their works, and all kinds of bizarre performance art happenings.

Visitor can see Toast Girl again, along with large inflated black rabbits, old men fishing in the street (Tange Kouki’s performance installation “Kusou turibito” [Daydream Fishermen]), and some peculiar guys in silver alien suits (Yuu Satou’s “horn man”)…Yes, despite the “Flower Festival” theme it felt a bit random to us, not least the appearance of pink and cute-but-scary Gloomy Bear.

Make Up like Ayumi Hamasaki’s Doll-like Eye Look

Rabu, 26 Mei 2010

Ayumi Hamasaki (浜崎 あゆみ) may be one of the most famous Japanese female singer in this era. Her albums and songs always become a top chart single in Japan Oricon chart and Asia. Ayumi is the diva of Japan.

Ayumi Hamasaki's influence goes beyond music; she is often considered a fashion icon and trend-setter. Her fans always try to imitate what Ayumi wears, which comestics does Ayumi use, until how to become Ayumi herself. But the most iconic symbol of Ayumi is her big eyes, a pair of eyes like a lively doll.

When I hear Ayumi Hamasaki, I think of big, bright doll eyes with long lashes. She keeps the rest of her face very natural, and her almond eyes really stands out.

The most things that Ayumi's fans always like to imitate is how to make a eyes like Ayumi's eyes. How to use the make up to become Ayumi's doll-like eye.

Here is the tips for those who want to imitate Ayumi Hamasaki's doll eyes.

Items needed:

- 1 eyeshadow palette (using Coffret D‘or Shine Accent Eyes)
- Eyebrush (you can choose to use those which come with the palette)
- Liquid eyeliner ( Lavshuca Slim Line Liner)
- Mascara ( Fiberwig Mascara) Or Fake eyelashes
- Mascara Finisher ( Fiberwig Finisher) Or Fake eyelashes

No falsies, no liquid liner. To create the false eyelash look, you can use Imju Fiberwig mascara on top of Majolica's mascara.
For the dark eyeliner, use Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Zero. It's VERY pigmented.

You can line your waterline with Stila's Topaz. Find that Topaz gives the same effect as a white liner, but it looks more natural.
Use only 2 shadows today! - All that glitters & Woodwinked
And Use all That Glitters all over the lid and then Woodwinked at the outer corner and lower lash line.
For cheeks, you can try to kept it simple with Nar's Luster (very nice peachy colour)

Here are the brief instructions for Ayumi Hamasaki's doll eyes make up way :

Step 1
Use the thick eye brush to dap onto hightlight color A and brush the color from your browbone to your eyelid.

Step 2
Use the thick eye brush to dap onto eyeshadow eyeshadow B and brush from your eyelid to midway upwards. Remember to blend the colors nicely.

Step 3
Use the thin line brush to dab on eyeshadow color C and brush your eyelids with it.

Step 4
You may wish to use gel color liner D and draw a thin line on the bottom eye line. Keep the line as close to your underlids as possible. You may skip this skip too if you wish to keep the look simple.

Step 5
Apply Lavshuca Liquid eyeliner closely to your lash area and also slowly apply the eyeliner to your bottom eye line. For the bottom eyeline, start from the end of your eye corners and move it inwards. Draw up to 1/3 length.

Step 6
If you administer the gel color liner to your bottom eye line, blend the eyeliner and the gel color smoothly with a brush. Do not be too aggressive in your blending action to prevent a blotting mark. What you wish to achieve is a nice blended smoky effect.

Step 7
Use the gel color D to draw a nice V-shaped on the inner corners of your eyes for highlighting.

Step 8
Curl your eyelashes and apply Fiberwig mascara to them. For a more dramatic eyelashes effect, add on the Fiberwig finisher to your lashes. Alternatively, you may choose to put on fake eyelashes.

You have completed Ayumi Hamasaki’s doll-like eye effect! Hope you like the look.

Cute and Fashion Japan Triumph Bra

Selasa, 18 Mei 2010

Japan is famous for its unique and cute fashion style. Everythings come into Japan will be modified into a very unique and stylish model, including the bra.

Bra, Panties, or woman undergarments are not only a daily wearing for Japanese woman, but also for fashion and style purpose. Most of Japanese bra are in cuties and fashionable, showing the high creativity of Japanese people.

Not only woman buy bra in Japan, but also even a boyfriend can buy a bra as a gift for her girlfriend.

One of Popular Japan branded bra is Triumph. Triumph actually is a division German Lingerie Company, but the products are very Japanese after come into Japan Market. This means they go over the top, as it were, to attract attention to their products and cleverly assocaite them with the latest popular cause. Here are 8 of their most outrageous bizarre bra examples :

1) The Warmbiz Heated Bra: No Chest Colds Here!
The Warmbiz Heated Bra

In an effort to save energy, Japan's government set up Coolbiz and Warmbiz campaigns to encourage businesses and workers to dress appropriately for the season: no neckties for men in summer, for example. I doubt they expected The Warmbiz Heated Bra to come along, but we're glad nonetheless! This comfy-looking faux fur number features microwavable gel pads that can be slipped into the bra cups to provide warmth in chilly offices. Of course, just wearing corduroy pants and woolly sweaters would be much more warming, but how much fun would that be? Speaking of fun, here's an informative video that shows the gel pads being heated and installed...

2) The Voter Turnout Liftup Bra: Got an Election?
The Voter Bra

Politics is boring, especially in Japan where consensus is king. Leave it to triumph to spice things up with The Voter Turnout Liftup Bra! Crafted of silver vinyl, the bra is boldly labeled "ballot box" while the matching skirt is made from ballots. Vote early and often!

3) The Post Office Bra: Love Letters Revisited

The post Office Bra

It's called the "Total Surprise Bra", and I have no idea why. Supposedly the catchy red bustier worn so appealingly by model Yu Misaki was designed to bring attention to previous Prime Minister Koizumi's post office privatization plans. Who?? What?? Exactly... so the bra can only help, right?

4) The Bra Bag: Shop 'til you Droop

The Bra Bag

Take it from Triumph model Erisa Nakayama, plastic bags are wasteful! That's what the little sign affixed to the bikini bottom of The Bag Bra says, at least. So trash those bags and take off your bra - sage advice for shoppers who want to carry home their melons the eco-friendly way! Need more details? Of course you do... check out this YouTube video on The Bra Bag...

5) The Anti-smoking Bra: No Butts Allowed!

The Anti Smoking Bra

According to the creative crew at Triumph, The Anti-smoking Bra "emits a mysterious fragrance designed to kill the desire to smoke." Perhaps the jaw-dropping effect of the bra itself is what really does the trick, however. Is there really a fragrance that turns off the addictive effects of nicotine? Do you really care?

6) "My Chopsticks" Bra: A Feast for the Eyes...

My Chopsticks Bra

The "My Chopsticks" Bra is a tasty little treat that features miso soup and rice bowl cups separated by a chopstick rest. Tucked into one shoulder strap is a pair of collapsible, portable chopsticks. The aim of this appetizing ensemble is to bring awareness to the environmental effects of wood disposable chopsticks. Ok, we're aware... can we eat now?

7) The Birth Rate Decline Bra: Granny sez Make More Babies!

The Birth Rate Decline Bra

8) The Chastity Belt Bra: The Key to Intimacy

The Chastity Belt Bra

Is Triumph giving us mixed messages? First it's like "get intimate", now it's all "lock up the goodies". That's exactly what The Chastity Belt Bra does - it comes with a little gold key that the wearer can present to her guy of choice. Rather romantic, come to think of it. So why is actress/singer/model Aya Ueto acting so, er, horny?

New Model Japan Converse Shoes 2010

Kamis, 07 Januari 2010

Converse is an American shoe company that has been making shoes since the early 20th century. The shoes was popular during The Chuck Taylor All Star shoe has developed a number of nicknames over the year. Chuck Taylor All-Stars, or Converse All-Stars, also referred to as "Chucks" or Cons' are canvas and rubber shoes produced by Converse. They were first produced in 1917 as the "All-Star," Converse's attempt to capture the basketball shoe market

Chuck Taylor All-Stars Shoes were not particularly popular until basketball player Chuck Taylor adopted them as his preferred shoe. He was impressed with the design so he became the shoe's leading salesman. After proposing a few changes to the shoe, the shoe got its current name and Chuck Taylor's signature on its ankle patch. One change was the switch to nonslip soles. Although classic black is the most popular, Chuck Taylor was himself known to prefer unbleached white high-tops (known in his day as simply "white").

Brand new from Converse Japan are these Jack Purcells. Paradoxically capturing both a more formal and a casual aesthetic the shoes appear to be a refined, more sophisticated version of the iconic chuck taylor boot. Stand out features include the stretchy-rubber on the sides of the shoe, allowing for ease of movement, as well as the prominent heel tab and cylindrical laces to match the boot.

Besides Japan Converse Jack Purcells, there are another type of Converse such as All Star Strap Hi Leather. The new Converse All Star Strap Hi Leather sneaker becomes competitive in terms of design. The new model comes in double strap to their staple shoe. You will definitely love the new Converse because Converse seems to extend a lot of effort to make its new model unique and stand out in the market.

Converse shoes in Japan is so popular. The famous designer of Converse is Japan may be Junya Watanabe. Junya Watanabe is a famous fashion designer and in 2007, Junya was licenced by Converse to design a series of All-Star shoes.

As part of their upcoming season Converse Japan just released a slew of designs. But are you ready for snakeskin Converse? I think I am.Converse released roughly 20 different designs that range from this snakeskin gem to matte leather designs. Here are my favorite:
